Femslashex 2020 Dear Creator Letter!

Thank you so much for writing for me! I love femslash and I am sure I'll love whatever you create! Here are some specifics about things I like, both generally and also specifically about each fandom. ^.^
DNWs:
-Rape/noncon presented as sexy. I'm fine with representation of rape (which is part of canon for some of these fandoms) as long as it's dealt with honestly as a trauma. (I don't have a problem with consensual sexual relationships between similar-aged minor adolescents.)
-Incest.
-A/b/o and other really heavy or specialized kinks.
-Porn without plot.
-Longing that stays longing and never resolves.
Likes:
-Hurt/comfort, large-scale or small-. Here for characters processing trauma history and other characters helping them through it/becoming a safe space for the person they're supporting.
-Porn that contributes to either plot or character development. No porn is 100% fine too.
-Angst, though how much I like this depends on the fandom. Happy endings are usually nice though, and I'm not anti-fluff either.
-Character progression/characters coming to terms with themselves or their lives or some aspect of themselves.
And now for the specific fandoms:
Trinkets
Elodie Davis/Jillian (Trinkets), Elodie Davis/Sabine, Elodie Davis/Original Female Character (Trinkets)
I ship Elodie/Jillian and love their awkwardness and innocence and finding their way with each other, both romantically and sexually. (First-time fic here could be great.) I don't ship Elodie/Sabine because Sabine is not a good influence or partner for Elodie at all but I love the idea of hearing more about Elodie's being mesmerized by Sabine's sexiness (definitely would not be in the least averse to an AU where they slept together) and struggling to come to understand both who Sabine is and who she herself is, and why that means they're not right for each other long-term. I also would love fic where Elodie does go either into inpatient psychiatric care or to a rehab and falls for/gets together with someone there, in a way that gets more in-depth into the shoplifting issue.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Peggy Carter/Dottie Underwood
I love every single thing about how Bridget Regan plays Dottieand how hot Bridget Regan is as Dottie, and Peggy is just so reliably terrific. In this pairing I'm not so much about enemies hate-fucking; I'd rather Dottie and Peggy be allied in some cause or other -- the episode in S2 where they break Dottie out of prison to help them out makes absolutely no sense logically but I'm so about the character dynamics! I love how obsessed Dottie is with Peggy so I'm anxious to see what they could have between them (or not have between them like CLOTHES ha ha bad jokes are not so bad when you put them in strikethrough).

Disney - All Media Types
Elsa/Honeymaren (Disney AMT)
I am convinced that Honeymaren is actually the answer to #GiveElsaAGirlfriend and am so excited for more development of her character. Even after the events of Frozen 2 I feel like Elsa is still likely to be a person who wrestles to a degree with self-image/self-doubt and worries about revealing all of herself, and my headcanon is that Honeymaren can ground her and support her through that and help her to come to terms with it and be happy. Drama or fluff is fine.
Hunger Games Series - All Media Types
Katniss Everdeen/Foxface, Clove/Original Female Character, Foxface/Rue, Primrose Everdeen/Rue, Foxface/Original Female Character
Lot of Foxface pairings here; I find her really interesting and would be here either for her being shown to be a fundamentally decent person or for her being instead a really sly sneaky person who is only out for number one. Clove I like to think of as someone who is hard and even brutal but who has a spark of something better in her, an ability to be better for someone she cares about. And with Prim/Rue, I love that they're both so sweet and so similar in many ways but Rue's much more likely to seek out adventure/make a little mischief. (If these two remain 12 in your fic I don't want sex scenes, please.) Katniss is amazing exactly as she is and I do not need to give a single clue about how I perceive her because it is all on the page. *hearteyes*

Anybodys/Original Female Character
Anybodys/Anita
Anybodys/Maria
As you can probably see, I want Anybodys to get the amount of attention she deserves! (I don't know what pronouns Anybodys would use now, but she's living in the '50s, so she's "she" for the purposes of this letter.) Anyway, I like the idea of her, so hard and tough in the show, finding something with Maria, who is so soft. And I love Anita and am always here for more fic with her and why shouldn't she be with Anybodys, I ask? (...in the OBC of the 2009 Broadway version when Anita gets raped Anybodys is part of the crowd cheering it on, so, you know, I suppose that would be a reason for Anita not to be with Anybodys. BUT the replacement Anybodys ran across the room and curled up with her hands over her ears during that scene! And we have no idea what Anybodys did during the taunting scene in the movie! Incidentally, I'm here for fic engaging with the really dark stuff surrounding that incident, or with any of the dark stuff in the show, so long as it's done thoughtfully and not in a way that sexualizes rape.) Anybodys/OFC, you can go anywhere you want! I just want more Anybodys!
[I should note that I have seen the movie but the thing that sparked my being mega-into WSS was the 2009 Broadway revival, with Tro Shaw as Anybodys, Karen Olivo as Anita and Josefina Scaglione as Maria -- hence nominating "All Media Types" instead of just the film. If you only know the film and have no desire to explore further that's fine but if you're interested in picking up a bit of the feel of what the 2009 Broadway show was about there are YouTube videos. (Karen Olivo in the purple dress is EVERYTHING.)]
Ocean's 8
Lou Miller/Debbie Ocean
I enjoyed this movie so much and loved Debbie in particular, despite her really being almost entirely one-note for the whole movie. She never breaks out of that cool, crisp, assessing persona; we only get the barest glimpse of what's underneath in the moment when she realizes Asshat Dickbag Whose Name I'm Not Even Gonna Bother to Google Because He's Not Worth It betrayed her and she was going to prison, and for like a half a second when she said to someone about going to prison that "you have no idea what that's like." I'd like to see more of what's under that impregnable emotional armor and see who she is in passionate moments, which I am 100% sure she has. She and Lou as a couple are essentially canon since she says the thing about picking up douchebag boyfriend because "Lou and I were in a rough patch," so -- who were they together? What was that rough patch? Where are they going?
Slammerkin - Emma Donoghue
Doll Higgins/Mary Saunders
This pairing is a little odd for me because I don't actually think they would work very well as a couple in the canonical universe, because Mary is so closed-off to anything that could make her vulnerable, let alone anything that could bring her sexual pleasure. Doll is not exactly about going to vulnerable places either, and the very little we know of her backstory is as terrible as Mary's. For this I would really enjoy an AU where they are in a world that is at least somewhat less brutal than grindingly-poor London in the late 18th century. I'd like to see who they could be in a world that was a little kinder to them -- not so much "And they were born in terrific families and no one was ever mean to them and they were super happy and met in the National Honor Society in private school in 10th grade!" as "They had a lot of shit happen to them but were in a world that had at least a tiny bit of a support system for girls like them and so it wasn't as much of a foregone conclusion that they'd wind up turning ten tricks a night on street corners in the freezing cold." Of course, in the books, Mary has a few opportunities to get out of that life and fails/refuses to do so in rather spectacular fashion. Would she be different in a different world? And if she were involved with Doll, might they be able to help each other to a better place in that world, or would they split ways, or go down (...no pun intended, truly) together? I'd love your take!
